My coaching philosophy is based on the idea of holistic development, where success is not only measured by winning, but by helping athletes grow and develop as individuals. No two
athletes are the same and therefore require different approaches to development; I learn from my athletes as much as they learn from me. My goal is to help each athlete reach their full potential on and off the ice, fostering a healthy, lifelong relationship with sport.

My passion for Figure Skating started when I entered the Pre-Canskate program at age four. Since then, I have developed a love for the sport and have trained and tested in a variety of skating disciplines including dance and synchronised skating in the Star, Provincial, and OUA streams. I got to continue my love of sport in my University career by skating with the Carleton Ravens Figure Skating Team and later serving as Co-Captain in my final year of study. I am excited to pass on my love of sport and draw on my own experiences as a skater to help my athletes overcome any obstacles that they meet.
My goal as a coach is to encourage my athletes to challenge themselves to excel in the sport while having fun at the same time. I want to create an environment for my skaters where they feel comfortable to try new skills and celebrate their accomplishments. At the end of the session, I want my skaters to look forward to coming back the next week with a fresh perspective and the determination to achieve their goals.
